Stephanie joined the Institute of the Environment in September 2005. As an associate editor, Stephanie reviews, proofreads, and edits articles, reports, and other copy produced by the institute. She also writes articles describing the achievements and research of faculty and graduate students and assists with publications and other communication efforts. Born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland, Stephanie taught English as a Peace Corps volunteer in Turkmenistan and worked as a reporter for the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Times-Picayune before landing in Tucson. Stephanie holds a BA in international relations from Syracuse University, and a master's degree in journalism from the University of Maryland.
