The U.S. Department of Energy is investing $41 million to spur the development of carbon sequestration technologies, according to a DOE press release. The DOE will fund 16 projects across America that aim to reduce the cost and increase the efficiency of carbon storage from coal power plants. Some of the technologies being explored include CO2-capturing solvent and adsorbents, and membranes.
