Global CO2 Emissions Reach All-Time High

According to a recent report, global emissions of CO2 increased by a record 5.8% between 2009 and 2010 due to continued growth in developing countries and economic recovery in industrialized countries. Between 1990 and 2010 emissions increased by 45% despite reductions by industrialized countries during this period.  In fact, industrialized countries as a whole are on target to meet the 2012 emissions reduction goal of the Kyoto Protocol.
