In the Southwest, California and Colorado are best prepared for the water-related impacts of climate change, while Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Utah are largely unprepared, according to a new report from the National Resources Defense Council. The authors of the report analyze the actions each state has taken to plan and prepare for climate change impacts on water. The NRDC also created an interactive map that concisely outlines the climate change risks to each state and its readiness to deal with those risks, and makes it very easy to send a message to the respective governor encouraging him/her to get to work on climate change preparation!
