Feds Outline 10-Year Climate Change Research Plan
In order to better understand Earth system processes and the consequences of climate change, and to increase public accessibility of data, the Obama Administration, through the U.S. Global Change Research Program, released a 10-year strategic plan. The plan—a collaborative effort by more than 100 Federal scientists with input from stakeholders and the public—outlines goals for advancing scientific knowledge of the Earth system, providing the scientific basis for informing political decisions, and educating the public about global change.
