22 January: The UK’s petrol and diesel industry is falling short on supplying sustainable biofuels, a government agency reported, the same week in which renewable fuels associations were rapped for describing biofuels as "sustainable" in an advertising campaign.
27 November: The European Commission has pledged €24.5 million ($31.6 million) to the Global Index Insurance Facility, which aims to develop index insurance products that mitigate weather and catastrophe risks in African, Caribbean and Pacific countries.
